I have spent the better part of my adult life advocating for underserved communities, women and children. Observing injustice on a regular basis in one of the 'best' legal systems in the world made me realize how much work needs to be done. I want women to be able to work and receive equal pay. We should have access to affordable childcare and, ideally, childcare for all.
Call to Action
Helping women navigate through tragedy is fulfilling work. But, when politicians ignore the real life ramifications of their policies, I could sit on the sidelines no more. A first generation college student, still paying on student loans, I felt the call to action and routinely volunteer to help quality candidates run for office.
Hustle. Handhold. Heat. And Give Back.
Last year, I coordinated and donated to help victims of hurricanes in Puerto Rico and Texas. I fed the homeless. I held a mom's hand during a domestic violence trial. I fought for a woman protecting her life's work. I believe strongly that one person can make a difference.
